    Steve Jobs vs MYiPhone Blogger

Apple CEO Steve Jobs askes MYiPhone blogger, my colleague Vincent Nguyen, to find a new domain for his blog: “the Unofficial Apple iPhone Community”.

iPhone, a most-awaited phone in the mobile technology industry, will launch commercially late this month in US and Europe. According to Apple’s site, this phone combines three amazing products — a revolutionary mobile phone, a widescreen iPod with touch controls, and a breakthrough Internet communications device into one small and lightweight handheld device.

Nguyen, one of the guys behind SlashGear, SlashPhone, MYiPhone and Unbox.IT (among others), who admitted as a fan of the Apple founder for a long time, and finally met Steve recently, said:

His comment to me about the site was “I recommend you changing the name, we have a team of lawyers to go after that kind of stuff.”

But wait, says Nguyen, Apple doesn’t own the trademark to iPhone, Cisco does!

Actually, for blogger Nguyen, this is just another domain name disputes. He’s already scored one victory against Motorola in a similar dispute.
