I use mobile phone for internet thing for around three years, and I use Opera Mini if not dialling from PC. Yeah, it is better than using tel***net. Cheaper and faster, since at Dompu, Sumbawa island, NTB, there is no other internet source than tel***net. On top of that, opera mini is also build with RSS lol

Have you try http://m.mobitrek.com/ you can read news from some Indonesian news resources from mobile device (although it’s WAP based) but all things come on one page, available detik, kompas, metro, indosiar etc etc.

yes, but widsets it’s nice for those who preferred rich-interface in their mobile phones. According to my experience, enjoying widsets it’s a little bit different than feeding news from Web Feed, for example.

so, each service (either widsets or simple RSS feed) has its own niche community.

although, most of the widgets are rss feed. imho, widsets is not about rss or breaking news.

if you want breaking news, just use a real rss reader on your mobile. much faster and simpler and it’s Real real-time. java is fat and slow beast.

or, if you like reading (almost) real magazines, use mobizines.
