Dubai (just in the airport), here I come again

It’s my second times had a transit di Dubai International Airport, Dubai City, the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The first, three years ago, when I have a flight to London.

The second, this morning: actually my final destination is Amsterdam, but due to the flight availability, I should choose Emirates to Dusseldorf and then proceed to Amsterdam by Eurotrain.

As three years ago, my flight (also by the lovely Emirates) routes from Jakarta to Dubai is quite similar. From Jakarta-Singapore (transit)-Colombo (without dissembarking)-Dubai.

Dubai International Airport is one of the biggest (and busiest) airports in Asia. In 2006, the airport handled 28.7 million passengers and targets 33 million for this year.

But I hope someday, I can visit this city — more than just having transit for a couple hours in its big airport like this morning and three years ago.

I’ve been to Dubai (airport) as well. And like you, I’ve been there twice. And also like you, I also flew with Emirates both times. First visit was on my way to Frankfurt. And the second time was on my way home from Paris.

I don’t fly often, so I was kind of surprised to see an airport so biiiig! Hahaha… But my friend said Hong Kong has an even bigger airport. Definitely have to check it out!
