During my short stay in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, I decided to use a local Wi-Fi service. Of course, I was a little bit worried to use my Indonesia’s GPRS/3G service when browsing and blogging on the go in my Nokia E90 Communicator.

I found a brief information about T-Mobile HotSpot in my hotel’s room when I arrived here at last Monday night. T-Mobile has around 700 hot-spot location throughout the Netherlands.

Since I just have this only leaflet with me — and dunno other services’ information at that moment — so I decided to use this service.

You don’t have to be a T-Mobile subscriber to use its hot-spot. You will receive a user name and password at the time of purchase.

There are to options to purchase T-Mobile HotSpot: minute bundle and consecutive period bundle.

In minute bundle option, you can use the credit whenever you want up to one year after the time you first log in — your usage is charged per minute, with a minimum of 10 minutes per session.

You can purchase HotSpot MultiPass - 60 minutes for 60 euro; HotSpot MultiPass - 180 minutes (14.95 euro); if you use of a Dutch cellular service, you can also send the word HOTSPOT to number 4999 requesting a username and password and this is costing 1.50 euro (debitted directly to your bill).

On the other hand, if you prefer to purchase voucher for a consecutive period, you can choose either HotSpot Pass - 24 hours (19.5 euro), HotSpot Pass - 7 days (39.95 euro) or HotSpot Pass - 30 days (79.95 euro).

I purchased the HotSpot MultiPass - 180 minutes (14.95 euro) with my credit card.

And I think it’s really a high-speed internet: I got 11.0 Mbps on the go! It’s even working in my hotel room!
