Today, I will be starting my European trip. The destinations are: Berlin (Germany) and Barcelona (Spain). Yeah, two week trips with two destinations and two different events. I will be leaving for Frankfurt tonight and then fly to Berlin.

Berlin

My first destination is Berlin, the capital city and one of sixteen states of Germany. With a population of 3.4 million within its city limits, Berlin is the country’s largest city.

In this city, I will be attending the Deutsche Welle’s blog competition called the BOBs, the world’s largest international awards for Weblogs, podcasts and videoblogs. Since its inception four years ago, the BOBs have grown to include 11 languages (Arabic, Chinese, German, English, French, Indonesian, Dutch, Persian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish).

The winners of each year’s awards are decided by both an international jury of bloggers and through online voting and will be announced on November 27. I was invited to this event as one of International jury members.

Actually, the official program will be ended on November 27, but (regarding to get more free-times ) I decided to extend my Berlin stay along three days. Hopefully, it will help me to do some sightseeing and blogging activities around the city.

Then, I will off to Frankfurt on November 30. After staying one night there, I will continue my travel to Barcelona and will be seeing a bunch of gadget people there. Yay!

Barcelona

Barcelona, my second destination, is the capital and most populous city of the Autonomous Community of Catalonia and the second largest city in Spain, with a population of 1,605,602 in 2006, while the population of the Metropolitan Area was 3,161,081.

At this cultural city, I am going to join the Nokia World 2008 at Centre Convencions Internacional Barcelona (CCIB), December 2 & 3. President and CEO Nokia, Olli-Pekka Kalasvuo, as well as some informed keynote speakers, will speech and discuss in this event.

Yeah, for a gadger blogger like me, the Nokia World 2008 is a must-attend event. Sure, it’s gonna be a good time and place to meet and greet with other gadget bloggers from around the world, who will gather in the heart of Spain attending this event.
